Accreditations you should have if you work in Construction

• Achilles BuildingConfidence – is a UK construction industry accreditation and risk management scheme.
• CHAS – (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK.​
• Constructionline – is a Government-run scheme, which collects, assesses and monitors your standard company information.
• SafeContractor – this scheme is a SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors who want to demonstrate that they’re taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements.

You will also require to have the following:

GDPR compliance – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in the UK & European Union (EU). Every company in the UK & Europe must be GDPR compliant. Failure to be GDPR compliant will result in the following – The UK GDPR and DPA 2018 set a maximum fine of £17.5 million or 4% of annual global turnover – whichever is greater – for infringements. The EU GDPR sets a maximum fine of €20 million (about £18 million) or 4% of annual global turnover – whichever is greater – for infringements.

EU Representative – Due to Brexit, if your company does business in the Eu then you must have EU Representative. Cyber Essentials Plus – this is the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme. It is a more rigorous test of your organisation’s cyber security systems where our cyber security experts carry out vulnerability tests to make sure that your organisation is protected against basic hacking and cyber-crime.
